Want To Stop Brain Fog, Burn Out, And Mental Exhaustion?

If you’ve ever experienced brain fog, moodiness, burn out, or even mental exhaustion, this could be one of the most important messages you’ll ever read. Here’s why. If you’re like me, clarity, focus, and fluidity of thought are extremely important in your life. We all know how alert we become after the first cup of coffee in the morning. We feel more confident, creative, and capable of handling any problem. (The problem with coffee of course is the inevitable crash that usually comes later in the day.) Imagine having that feeling all day long. It’s now possible thanks to nootropic chemistry. Nootropics are supplements that may help cognitive function. They may improve focus, memory, mood, attention, concentration, mental clarity, and other components of cognitive function. There are several of these supplements on the market today. Some of them are scams. But here’s the good news. After trying and testing several of these products, I decided to have my own friend and supplement formulator, Dr. Scott Treadway, create a new product powerful enough to actually work. In fact, it works so well I decided to try it out on a friend who had terrible mental fog because of a golf ball-sized tumor in his head that was recently removed. If you want to know whether a supplement could work even under these circumstances, I suggest you watch the video on the new website . Warning: there is some emotional content in the video that could touch your heart so have the tissues handy (I cried just listening to this amazing story.) Click here to check out the video and determine if this product could help you as well. P.S. I too have a tumor in my brain (pituitary) which creates tremendous brain fog at times. Discover how MCT oil boosts memory and brain health

Discover how MCT oil boosts memory and brain health

( Natural News ) Natural health experts are excited about the brain-boosting benefits of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). These fatty acids support healthy heart functions, protect against disease-causing bacteria, and regulate inflammation. Studies suggest that MCT oil could alleviate dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other conditions affecting brain functions. MCT oil is from coconut oil , which contains considerable amounts of a healthy fatty acid called lauric acid . But MCT oil has up to 18 times more fatty acids. It also features two different fatty acids called capric acid and caprylic acid. The carbon chain of an MCT is made up of six to 10 atoms. This range happens to be the perfect length for absorption and metabolizing, and people suffering from digestive disorders could easily digest them. Furthermore, MCTs are immediately burned as fuel for the body. They promote weight loss by reducing fat levels while also increasing the mass of lean muscles. They also improve endurance and performance during physical activity which could prevent muscle wasting. (Related: The neuroprotective benefits of coconut oil .) MCT oil serves as brain food that fuels the brain and makes neurotransmitters The brain uses blood sugar to power itself. If there isn’t enough glucose in the blood, the liver metabolizes body fat into ketones that serve as brain food. Ketones could be obtained from a ketogenic diet with high levels of healthy fat and low amounts of carbohydrates. But MCTs serve as an even better source of the vital brain fuel. Consuming MCT oil raises the concentration of ketones in the blood, raising the available energy in the brain by almost 10 percent. Machine Learning Tools

Machine Learning Tools

Introduction to machine learning Arthur Samuel coined the term machine learning in 1959. An American pioneer in computer gaming and artificial intelligence said ‘ it gives computers the ability to learn without explicit programming. Machine Learning is a new motto that floats around. It deserves to be one of the most interesting sub-fields in computer science . Artificial intelligence programs were generally explicitly planned to carry out tasks in the past. In most cases, the “Learning” consisted of adjusting several parameters to a fixed implementation in order for facts to be added to a collection of other facts (a knowledge base), and then (effectively) searching for a solution to the problem from one known solution to another. in the form of a path of several small steps. In this topic, we are going to learn about Machine learning tools. What is Machine Learning Tool? Machine learning tools are artificial intelligence-algorithmic applications that provide systems with the ability to understand and improve without considerable human input. It enables software, without being explicitly programmed, to predict results more accurately. Machine learning tools with training wheels are supervised algorithms. They require an individual to schedule both the input and the desired output and provide feedback on the accuracy of the end results. Unsupervised algorithms demand very little human intervention by employing a “deep learning” approach in order to check massive databases and arrive at conclusions from previous example-based data of training; they are thus generally used for more complex processing tasks, such as the awareness of images, speech-to-text and generating natural languages. Machine Learning Tools are consists of Preparation and data collection Building models Application deployment and Training Local tools for telecommunication and remote learning We can compare machine learning tools with local and remote. Those who are always busy and have no time to regularly plan meals have vitamins and supplements to rely on to meet the nutritional requirements their bodies need to function daily. While taking such alone is not a guarantee of good health, supplementation helps fill the gaps that improper nutrition and an active lifestyle might leave. When you feel constantly tired and stressed, this affects how you perform your daily duties and interact with other people. Thus, it is important that you find ways to alleviate the negative symptoms. There are plenty of vitamins and supplements in the market, each promising to provide the boost of energy and health you need to power through the day. But there are certain nutrients that should be part of your everyday intake and should never be absent. Here are five of them. 1. Vitamin B Complex Vitamin B complex consists of several types of B vitamins that contribute to helping the body fight fatigue. These include B1 (improves mood and well being), B2 (reduces oxidative stress), B3 (supports brain function), B5 (enhances brain chemicals), B6 (strengthens immunity), and B8 (aids in a healthy connection between nerve receptors). Some Vitamin B complex supplements might also contain choline, which aids in brain development and health. 2. Zinc Zinc is a mineral that plays a key role in cell production and protein synthesis. Studies: Rocking motions can improve your memory and help you sleep better at night

Studies: Rocking motions can improve your memory and help you sleep better at night

( Natural News ) There is now scientific proof that the age-old technique of rocking yourself or someone else to sleep worked as advertised. Two separate studies proved that rocking motions not only made it easier for both young adult humans and animals to fall asleep, but also helped strengthen memories during slumber. “Having a good night’s sleep means falling asleep rapidly and then staying asleep during the whole night,” explained University of Geneva researcher Laurence Bayer. “Our volunteers — even if they were all good sleepers — fell asleep more rapidly when rocked and had longer periods of deeper sleep associated with fewer arousals during the night.” Bayer previously ran an experiment where participants were continuously rocked back and forth during short naps. She found that rocking motions helped the participants fall asleep quickly and improved the quality of their sleep. (Related: Confirmed: Yet another study proves lack of exercise and poor sleep makes you FAT .) Rocking improves both sleep and memory In her new study, Bayer and Sophie Schwartz investigated the effects of rocking motion on sleep and sleep-related brain waves during the entire night. They got healthy young adults to volunteer for sleep monitoring. The first night acclimatized the volunteers to sleeping in Bayer’s lab. Afterward, they spent two more nights. During one of those sleepovers, the participants slept on a normal bed. On the other night, they used a moving bed with gentle rocking motions. Bayer and Schwartz reported that the volunteers fell asleep quicker on the rocking bed . They also stayed in non-rapid eye movement sleep for longer periods, enjoyed deeper sleep , and roused less often. 100% organic essential oil sets now available for your home and personal care, including Rosemary, Oregano, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Clary Sage and more, all 100% […]

10 Recent Scientific Breakthroughs And Discoveries

Contemporary science is a hotbed of cutting-edge research. Astronomers across the globe have marveled at the first photographic evidence of a black hole. An unconventional in vitro fertilization (IVF) technique has come under fire from medical professionals. Elsewhere, scientists from Japan have fired explosives at an asteroid, and in Germany, they have discovered a prehistoric molecule from the early years of universe. Setting aside the negative headlines—like the Israeli spacecraft that crash-landed on the Moon or the Indian missile test that might have endangered the International Space Station—here are ten of the most fascinating breakthroughs to have made recent headlines. 10 Astronomers Have Bombed An Asteroid A group of Japanese astronomers has decided to bomb the asteroid Ryugu, hoping it can answer some fundamental questions about the origins of life on Earth. A cone-shaped instrument known as a “small carry-on impact” was sent hurtling into the asteroid , where it blasted out a crater using a baseball-sized wad of copper explosives. The device was fired from the Hayabusa 2 spacecraft—a pioneering exploration mission operated by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. The spacecraft will head back to Ryugu at a later date to collect samples from beneath the asteroid’s surface that been uncovered in the blast. Researchers predict there is a wealth of organic material and water from the birth of the solar system preserved underground in the asteroid. By analyzing the samples from Hayabusa 2 , they hope to gain a clearer understanding of the early stages of the solar system and of life on Earth. [1] 9 Can We Taste Smells? Are Nootropics Worth The Hype?

Nootropics are getting a lot of attention right now. Every day a new article gets published on these so-called ‘smart drugs’. Whether it’s an exposé on silicon valley entrepreneurs running on Modafinil, or a hard-hitting piece about young college kids using Ritalin to ace their finals, the media just can’t get enough of nootropics. A quick search on Google will reveal hundreds of blogs dedicated to cognitive enhancement. Some of them focus on natural methods to boost brain power; they talk about brain training, meditation, and herbal supplements. Others exclusively focus on the more powerful side of nootropics – the pharmaceutical drugs and research chemicals designed to significantly increase focus, alertness, learning capacity, energy, and more. Obviously, the media’s attention is focused squarely on the more exciting, dangerous world of pharmaceutical drug use. Practically every serious journalistic investigation into the use of nootropics starts and ends with drugs like Modafinil, Aniracetam, and Noopept. Almost nobody talks about the less dangerous but equally interesting side of nootropics – the natural nootropic substances which can promote brain function in various ways without causing serious harm in the process. Let’s take a look at some popular natural nootropic supplements and see if they are really worth all this hype. Do Popular Supplements Work? There are about a dozen or so extremely popular natural nootropic supplements on the market right now. People all over the world are using these products, herbal extracts, and natural concentrates to enhance their cognitive function. These are typically pre-made stacks; their formulas contain multiple different substances known to enhance brain function. Manufacturers mix and match substances to create a stack which enhances multiple different aspects of cognition at the same time. Some focus more on short-term benefits like energy and concentration, while others prioritize long-term mental functionality and […]

Five brain-boosting snacks for students as exam season approaches

Oranges are among the fruits said to boost brain power. With exam season approaching, students have been urged to swap a diet of quick, cheap eats for nutritious meals to boost brain power when hitting the books. Health and fitness experts at Vivotion.com have compiled a guide which they say will support learners in maximising revision potential this summer. Little sleep, stress and missing meals will create chaos when it comes to the ability to concentrate and absorb information. Low supply of both money and time often results in many students opting for short-term fixes such as takeaways and sugary snacks in replacement of healthy and fulfilling meals. However, junk food in place of normal meals can be damaging to long-term health, so relying on these foods to retain high energy levels could be doing more harm than good. Who’s up for a roast dinner? Here’s what our spy thought Gin and rum festival in Burton Top 10 places for breakfast in Burton A spokesperson for Vivotion.com explained: "A healthy diet is always important, however in times which require higher levels of concentration and a lot of brain power a nutritious diet is vital. "Endurance is critical, so going for foods which provide a short burst of energy will often leave you feeling unfulfilled and sluggish later on in the day. Eating to beat depression: Foods that improve your gut health also improve your mental health

( Natural News ) With rates of depression seemingly on the rise all around the world, science has been searching for answers beyond just prescribing people more pharmaceutical-based “mood enhancers.” And the one thing that honest seekers of truth keep coming back to as a solution is proper diet , which researchers from The University of Manchester in the United Kingdom have confirmed plays a critical role in mental health. Healthy diet and lifestyle choices combined, a paper recently published by researchers from the school has found, offer synergistic benefits in terms of helping to alleviate some of the symptoms associated with depression, at the very least. In a best-case scenario, a complete dietary and lifestyle overhaul may, in fact, bring a “cure” to depression entirely, depending on its severity and cause. Outlined in a Daily Mail (U.K.) recap of this study are some of the most promising contenders, including the addition of more vitamin D-rich foods and lifestyle habits into one’s daily regimen. Vitamin D is excellent for brain health Wild-caught fatty fish and grass-fed dairy products are among the foods naturally densest in vitamin D – though the best option would seem to be spending more time outside in the sun , without applying sunscreen products, which block the ultraviolet rays necessary for the skin’s production of the vitamin D pro-hormone. Balanced blood sugar also balances brain health Keeping one’s blood sugar levels balanced is also critical, which means eating less “cheap carb” foods and foods loaded with refined sugars. Fiber-rich foods are a better alternative, as are foods naturally high in protein and healthy fats. Sleep Deprived? These Luxury Mattresses Will Have You Counting Sheep in No Time

When the thaw starts in Svalbard, Norway, and midsummer looms, the female eider ducks start shedding their down. The balls of fluff trap air, which makes eiderdown the perfect insulation for winters that plummet to a brisk four below zero—and the ideal material for what is the king of duvets. Norvegr , a family-run Norwegian company, will make just 100 eiderdown duvets in a good year, 50 if pickings are slim, with prices starting at $3,600 and soaring to $33,200 for the polar style, the brand’s plumpest option. Oceans away in New York, the Netherlands-based company FreshBed delivers one of its $50,000 mattresses to a customer. The price includes an assessment by a sleep coach and a doctor, the latter of whom might, say, prescribe the popular sleep aid magnesium if a blood test finds a deficiency. FreshBed might also suggest structural changes to the bedroom, such as a new ventilation system to ensure that humidity from the bathroom doesn’t raise the temperature above the 64 degrees many doctors recommend for a good night’s rest. Welcome to the world of super-high-end slumber, in which sleeping in is the new going out. Whereas a few decades ago it was a Wall Street badge of honor to survive on four hours’ shut-eye a night, today there is a new interest in self-care, wellness and mindfulness, not to mention a spate of news coverage on the potentially devastating impact that a lack of sleep wreaks on the heart, brain and longevity. “The idea that sleep is passive time is not the case; it is vital for cognitive function in memory,” says Alanna Hare, consultant physician in respiratory and sleep medicine at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Specialist Care, whose London patients are mainly stressed-out executives. “The brain has a waste-disposal system that […]

The Majority Of People Are Fine With Brain Doping, As Long As You Don’t Call It That

The Majority Of People Are Fine With Brain Doping, As Long As You Don't Call It That

From smart drugs to over-the-counter nootropics, popping pills to boost brain power has become a billion-dollar business . After all, in our increasingly distracted, aging, and sleep-deprived world, anything that promises better concentration, alertness, and memory is more than tempting – for some it might feel like a necessity. Combine that with the fact that we don’t have conclusive evidence that these drugs and supplements cause long-term side effects and it’s no surprise that cognitive enhancers (both pharmaceutical and supplements) are growing in popularity. Of course, these pills are not without drawbacks, some of them quite serious. First, there’s limited evidence that nootropic supplements or pharmaceuticals have any effect on the brains of healthy people. For example, studies have found that those without ADD/ADHD who use stimulants such as Adderall experience moderate effects at best and put themselves at risk for side effects such as addiction and dependence as well as cardiovascular issues. Nevertheless, the misuse of these drugs by those they may not truly help is growing. While there’s long been concern about prescribing stimulants to children as well as their abuse on college campuses, a new study from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine suggests that the use of various types of cognitive enhancers is an increasingly accepted practice in the American workplace. The Penn neuroscientists set out to gauge attitudes towards cognitive-enhancing pills and they approached the question in a unique way. Using 3,727 U.S. volunteers via Amazon’s Mechanical Turk platform, they studied how people responded to the use of enhancers after reading vignettes that framed the use of these drugs in various metaphorical styles and contexts. So, for example, they read about an employee using the drugs as “fuel” as opposed to an athlete or student using them as “steroids” or using them to […]

Sweet superfood: The 6 health benefits of nutrient-rich sweet potatoes

( Natural News ) Sweet potatoes — scientifically known as Ipomoea batatas — are sweet, starchy root vegetables grown all over the world. They come in various sizes and colors, including orange, white, and purple. These root tubers are one of the healthiest foods you can add to your diet. Here are just six health benefits of sweet potatoes: Offer many nutrients: Sweet potatoes are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. These include protein, manganese, potassium, and vitamins A, B6, and C. They are also rich in antioxidants , especially the orange and purple varieties, that protect the body from free radical damage and chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, and aging. Boost immunity: Sweet potatoes, particularly the orange varieties, contain high amounts of beta-carotene that is converted to vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is vital in keeping the immune system healthy, and the lack of this vitamin has been linked to reduced immunity. It is also essential in keeping the mucous membranes, especially in the lining of the gut, healthy. A healthy gut is also important in a healthy immune system. (Related: Sweet potatoes are nutrient-dense foods with high amounts of beta-carotene .) Improve eye health: Beta-carotene is also used to form light-detecting receptors inside the eyes, supporting eye health. Purple sweet potatoes may also support healthy vision due to their anthocyanins that protect eye cells from damage. Enhance gut health: Sweet potatoes can improve gut health because of their fiber content. There are two types of fiber in sweet potatoes: soluble and insoluble. Fiber can’t be digested and stays within the digestive tract and provides a variety of gut-related health benefits. Viscous fibers – a type of soluble fiber – absorb water and soften stool, whereas non-viscous, insoluble fibers don’t absorb water but add bulk. […]

A beginner’s guide to using ‘smart drugs’

A beginner’s guide to using ‘smart drugs’

“Smart drugs,” also known as nootropics, are drugs and supplements that purport to boost creativity, memory, concentration and motivation. The pursuit of productivity by “hacking” one’s health is happening everywhere, but perhaps most notably in Silicon Valley where many of Dr. Molly Maloof’s patients live and work. Maloof, as seen in the documentary Channel film Smart Drugs , is a physician who specializes in helping professionals from engineers to start-up founders biohack safely. Here, she answers some of the most common questions about cognitive supplements. Who is using smart drugs and other cognitive enhancers? Molly Maloof: It seems to be mostly people in their twenties and thirties. I started using nootropics in high school. Why are they choosing to do this? MM: People are always looking for new ways to boost performance and gain a competitive edge. Nootropics have gotten a lot of buzz, and they’re generally easy to obtain. Why are they so accessible now? MM: The ease of ordering off the internet — and the amount of education available online. What’s changed to spur the trend toward nootropics? MM: Tons of sellers. The dark web. What’s the biggest myth about cognitive supplements and smart drugs? MM: That they somehow work better than consistently doing the basics like exercising, [focusing on] nutrition, sleeping and reducing stress. What are the biggest dangers people need to be aware of? MM: Quality control is almost nonexistent; it’s super easy to get bad stuff with all sorts of additives that could be harmful or get something that isn’t even what it says it is. Before you take any particular drug or dietary supplement, you should consult with a doctor and do thorough independent research. Who should not be experimenting with smart drugs? MM: Anyone with a serious psychiatric disorder or a history […]

Cutting-edge experiments show an electrical zap improves memory in older adults

Cutting-edge experiments show an electrical zap improves memory in older adults

Quirks & Quarks Mild electrical stimulation gives older adults the memory performance of 20-year olds An older adult receiving transcranial magnetic stimulation to improve his memory in Dr. Joel Voss’s study (Joel Voss) Two complementary studies recently found that noninvasive and extremely mild brain stimulation could be used to improve episodic and working memory in older adults. "We can make these 60 and 70-year-olds look strikingly like our 20-year-old participants," researcher Robert Reinhart told Quirks & Quarks host Bob McDonald. As we age many aspects of our memory deteriorate. The effects can range from irritating, when we can’t remember where we left the car keys, to embarrassment when we forget names in a conversation, to tragedy, in pathological conditions like dementia. This new research suggests, though, that we we might be able to boost memory in the future with just a simple zap to the brain, and the therapeutic potential of this technology could be huge. Using magnetic induction to boost neural signals The first study used a technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to induce mild neural firing in the brain. The researchers hoped this stimulation would increase communication between the hippocampus, the region deep within the brain that’s critically responsible for episodic or long-term memory, and the cortical network connected to the hippocampus on the outer surface of the brain. Joel Voss , an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at Northwestern University, led the 15-person pilot study which looked at adults between the age of 64 and 82 with typical memory deficits. "What we did in our study was try to influence the network of the hippocampus," explained Voss. In part this was because these areas on the outer part of the brain were ones their TMS system could accurately target. An older adult receiving […]
