Nootropics Are Trending…but What the Heck Are They?

Remember that movie, Limitless? In it, Bradley Cooper plays a struggling writer who discovers a magical pill that makes him a smarter, more productive and better version of himself. Well, as it turns out, the film’s plot isn’t entirely science fiction—these kinds of brain boosters really do exist. Here’s what you need to know. What are they? “Nootropics (aka smart drugs or memory enhancers) are natural, synthetic or prescription substances that are touted to enhance mental function,” explains surgical director Dr. Michael Jay Nusbaum . People (primarily biohackers and the Silicon Valley set) turn to these ingredients—either taken on their own or in a chemical cocktail—to improve memory, focus and alertness. The way that they work ( if they work, but more on that below) depends on what the substance is. For example, some may work by boosting blood flow to the brain while others work by protecting it from inflammation. And what are some examples of nootropics? There are some nootropics that you’re probably already familiar with, like caffeine and turmeric . Then there are various supplements (like Piracetam and Noopept) and prescription medications (like Adderall and Ritalin) that also fall into the nootropics category. Companies use these ingredients to make various pills, powders, tonics and, um, even gum . Natural Ways To Tighten Skin Best Detox Cleanse But do they actually work? Kinda, sorta. While some nootropics have been extensively studied and proven to improve cognitive ability (like caffeine and Adderall), research for most others is either nonexistent or very limited. “Unfortunately, many of these ‘smart drugs’ don’t have solid scientific evidence supporting their claims,” Dr. Jen Haley tells us. “Not only that, but in some cases, they can actually be dangerous when combined together,” she adds. And because most nootropics are classified as dietary supplements, it […]

How to Develop Impeccable Multitasking Skills

How to Develop Impeccable Multitasking Skills

These days, multitasking is a powerful and a vital skill to acquire. When you run a small business or a startup, you need to concentrate on multiple processes at the same time. That can be difficult for people whose brains work at a slower pace and need adjustment. Some people cannot just switch in between the tasks and projects, which others are professionals of multitasking. Researchers say that multitasking comes with experience and brain development, and some believe you acquire multitasking abilities at birth . No matter what the origins of multitasking, it’s still a useful and must-have skill in today’s fast-paced working environments. Most of us can safely say that they are good multitasks — but most of us are wrong about this! Multitasking the right way is extreme hard to do and requires high concentration levels. In reality, we all have the ability to multitask but not in an efficient and productive way. The good news is that there are simple ways to boost your multitasking skills. Both internal and external effects can cause you to improve your multitasking abilities. Here’s how you can achieve the best results: Organize your schedule. Improve your to-do list game by using project management apps and calendars to organize your tasks better. 14 ways sex is good for the body and brain

14 ways sex is good for the body and brain

Humans spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about, pursuing, and having sex. It’s not just about making babies, because people have sex long before and after they have children – if they have them at all. There are many other reasons people can’t keep their hands of each other – some are physical, some are emotional , some are goal-oriented, and others may be due to insecurity. Whatever the reason, if you’re having frequent sex, you’re likely to see some benefits. Not only is it good for your mental wellbeing, it will probably have a positive impact on your general health too. Several studies over the years have shown the effects of having sex . Here are 14 of the main findings so far. 1. Sex releases chemicals that ease pain Endorphins are the body’s natural painkillers. During sex, endorphins flood the body and brain, easing any discomfort. For some people, it can cure a headache . This may be due to endorphins, or the release of the neurotransmitter serotonin, which makes you feel happy. 2. Sex burns calories Sex isn’t as good as other forms of exercise, but it certainly does burn a fair few calories. One study from the University of Montreal looked at how many calories couples burned during sex. During a 30-minute session, men burned an average of 101 calories, while women burned 69. That was about 4.2 calories or 3.1 calories per minute respectively. 3. It boosts your immune system A study published in the journal Psychology Report found students who had sex at least once a week had higher levels of a certain antibody which is vital for fighting off illnesses. In fact, the levels were 30% higher than in those who had no sex at all. 4. Sex is good for […]

Brain Fog: How to Naturally Get Rid of Brain Fatigue

If you struggle with poor focus, mental fatigue, or confusion, brain fog may be the culprit. Though not a medically recognized condition, brain fog is a common complaint. Brain fog often happens in older people but can affect people of any age. Generally speaking, brain fog is a dysfunction in your ability to focus, learn, and remember. If you have brain fog, natural remedies can clear the mist, so to speak. When you engage in lifestyle changes — diet, exercise, sleep, and nutritional supplements — you can improve your mental clarity and energy. What Is Brain Fog? Brain fog is a general term for mild to moderate difficulty with focus, concentration, memory, and other cognitive functions. Brain fog can present in different ways, many of which are subjective and self-reported. [ 1 ] You may experience mental fatigue, have difficulty finding the right words to express yourself, or feel slow, spaced-out, or forgetful. You might get easily distracted from daily tasks, have difficulty following conversations, or have poor concentration, mental clarity, and memory. Because brain fog is not a medical disorder, you may recognize it when you realize that you have a “cluster” of these symptoms. Brain Fog Symptoms If you have brain fog, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms. Mental fatigue Forgetfulness Being easily distracted Poor memory Difficulty concentrating Feeling “spaced out” Disorientation Irritability The Top 7 Causes of Brain Fog Hormonal changes, side effects from medications, and normal aging all contribute to the symptoms of brain fog. Here are the top seven causes. 1. Stress Mental stress causes your body to produce excessive levels of the hormone cortisol. Stress also suppresses your immune system and stimulates your adrenal system, which regulates your body’s production of hormones. Together, these issues impair working memory, concentration, […]

Stressed out? Just 20 minutes of deep breathing and meditation each day significantly improves your mood

( Natural News ) When life gets a little too stressful, it’s important to drop everything for a few minutes and just breathe. Otherwise, stress could progress into more complicated things like anxiety and depression. A study, published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine , reveals that Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya, a yogic practice involving controlled breathing , can effectively improve stress-induced disorders. There’s no doubt that everyone has been stressed at one point in their lives. In fact, there are instances where stress is actually helpful since it could motivate a person, improve his concentration, or increase energy . It only becomes a problem when the body is getting too much of it. Under stress, the body undergoes many changes, including a release of stress hormones, elevated blood pressure, rapid breathing, increased heart rate, and inflammation. This is why constantly being under stress can cause a variety of problems. Stress can cause mood disorders like anxiety and depression, which can be particularly crippling for the affected individuals. When left untreated, anxiety and depression can affect appetite, sleep habits, and social skills . Although there are prescription drugs for these disorders, they often cause unwanted side effects. This is why patients often prefer therapy, which is touted as the safer option. Previous studies have shown that yoga and meditation practices have great potential as an alternative therapy for patients with anxiety and depression. People who practice yoga have been shown to have improved hormone regulation and reduced inflammation. Unfortunately, the world of yoga can be daunting for many beginners, given the vast number of practices which offer different benefits. 100% organic essential oil sets now available for your home and personal care, including Rosemary, Oregano, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Clary Sage and more, all 100% organic and laboratory tested for […]

Researchers from the University of Uyo and Rivers State University of Science and Technology in Nigeria found that the African walnut ( Coula edulis Baill.), a plant abundant in Nigeria, is packed with antioxidants , which can be used in food and for medicinal purposes. For their study, which was published in the European Journal of Medicinal Plants , the research team investigated the antioxidant properties of organic and aqueous extracts of the African walnut. In addition, the researchers looked at the total phenolics, flavonoids, and vitamin C content in the extracts. They also evaluated the metal chelating and reducing power of the extracts. The results of the evaluations revealed that African walnut is rich in phenolics, flavonoids, and vitamin C. In addition, the extracts of the African walnut exhibited promising antioxidant activities, with great metal chelating and reducing properties. The aqueous extract of the African walnut contained the highest amounts of flavonoids and vitamin C and exhibited the best antioxidant potentials. Study looks at the exact mechanisms of acupuncture in reducing cognitive impairment among Alzheimer’s patients

Study looks at the exact mechanisms of acupuncture in reducing cognitive impairment among Alzheimer’s patients

( Natural News ) Acupuncture is one of the most commonly recommended alternative therapies for patients who are suffering from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or Alzheimer’s disease. However, the exact means by which this traditional Chinese medicine improves the brain activity has remained obscure. So researchers took great pains to map out the areas of the brain of a patient that were activated by the Siguan (four gate) acupuncture treatment . There has been a great wealth of research regarding the neuronal pathways used by acupuncture. However, most studies used healthy individuals instead of people with Alzheimer’s or impaired cognition. Furthermore, these studies restricted themselves to stimulating just one acupuncture point at a time. This went against actual clinical use of acupuncture, where multiple points need to be stimulated. A research team from the Capital Medical University (CMU) chose to amend these shortcomings in the scientific literature with their new study. They applied multi-point Siguan acupuncture treatment to patients with Alzheimer’s disease and MCI, and then mapped out the resulting changes in brain activity. Afterwards, they compared the differences between the brain activity of Alzheimer’s patients and that of patients with mild cognitive impairment. Furthermore, they also came up with visual evidence of the neuronal specificity of true clinical acupuncture. (Related: Acupuncture improves cognitive function of Alzheimer’s patients .) Mapping the brain areas activated by multi-point acupuncture treatment For their experiment, the CMU researchers gathered 49 participants. Fourteen healthy individuals served as the controls of the study. The rest were made up of 21 patients with Alzheimer’s disease and 14 patients with minor cognitive impairment. Why sleep quality matters in the healing process

Why sleep quality matters in the healing process

While the body sleeps, it heals. Injuries and illnesses all improve when the body gets adequate sleep; so do chronic conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia . Research shows that most of the healing takes place during Stage 2 and Stage 3 sleep, when sleep is deepest and without dreams. During Stage 3 sleep, healing hormones such as human growth hormone are released and the production of stress hormones, such as cortisol, is inhibited. Tissue repair happens during this stage. Blood pressure drops and blood flows more to the muscles. Inflammation is suppressed so that healing can happen. Stage 3 deep sleep is when muscles and joints are at their most relaxed. More than quantity Adequate, high-quality sleep is also crucial for brain health and keeping your memory sharp. Memories are consolidated during sleep as the information a person learns during the day is transferred from short-term to long-term memory. The connections between brain cells that help you remember things are strengthened. Long-term memories are formed in the brain during Stage 3 deep sleep, another example of how the quality of sleep is as important as the quantity. Another cause of poor memory and bad decision-making from lack of sleep are high levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Elevated levels of cortisol have a negative effect on the hippocampus, a structure in the brain that is closely tied to memory and the consolidation of information. When you get adequate, high-quality sleep, your cortisol levels drop during the night, giving your hippocampus a chance to do its job of organizing memories. When you don’t sleep well, with cortisol levels higher than normal, the result is forgetfulness, difficulty processing new information and trouble concentrating and staying focused. A lack of good sleep is associated with Alzheimer’s disease and some other forms […]

Taking multivitamins can reduce your risk of death from any illness by up to 70%

( Natural News ) Some people believe that taking multivitamins doesn’t benefit their health in any way, and when you see the price tag on some vitamins, you might be hoping they are right. However, studies show that taking a multivitamin can indeed make a big difference, especially if it accompanies a healthy, active lifestyle. In some cases, it can reduce a person’s risk of death by up to 70 percent. A study published in the Journal of Breast Cancer Research and Treatment explored multivitamin supplementation in 2,200 women who had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer from 1997 to 2000. Researchers tracked the women’s use of multivitamins in the two years prior to their diagnosis as well as afterward. Remarkably, women who took multivitamins and who also consumed a healthy diet – defined as containing at least 5 ½ servings of fruits and vegetables per day – and got at least 16 hours per week of physical activity enjoyed a reduced risk of death — from any type of illness — during the two-year follow-up period by up to 70 percent! For those less active women whose diets were not as healthy, the multivitamins did not provide the same benefit. In addition, they found that women who avoided chemotherapy and opted for radiation treatment instead had a reduction in breast cancer recurrence if they took multivitamins. These women also had a lower risk of death from all causes. These findings prompted the researchers to conclude that taking multivitamins regularly after being diagnosed with breast cancer helps women survive, especially if they are also moderately active and consuming a healthy diet. The benefits are even greater for those who do not get chemotherapy. The power of the elements : Discover Colloidal Silver Mouthwash with quality, natural ingredients like Sangre […]

Here are proven ways to boost IQ in adults

Here are proven ways to boost IQ in adults

( Natural News ) Most parents will do everything to ensure that their child becomes intelligent, especially since it affords their child many opportunities later in life. One of the commonly used methods for measuring a person’s intelligence is through the intelligence quotient (IQ). Although IQ does not equate with overall intelligence, it is a good measure for a person’s knowledge, as well as their reasoning and problem-solving skills. Fortunately, people can continue to work on increasing their IQ even when they’re already adults . There are many ways through which IQ can be increased in children; however, these may all be applicable for adults. The most common ways to increase IQ in adults include: Physical exercise – People who exercise can enjoy many benefits like improved blood flow to the brain, which allows it to get an adequate supply of oxygen, glucose , and other nutrients . Moreover, exercise also improves the brain’s ability to alter its structure and function. This property, which is known as neuroplasticity, has been associated with higher intelligence and larger brain volume. Based on a previous study, a 30-minute exercise session already has significant effects on brain plasticity. Brain training exercises — There are many brain exercises that can be done to improve IQ. One way is by using dual n-back, which increases working memory capacity . To get significant results, players are recommended to do this at least 20 minutes a day, five days a week. By doing so, they can significantly improve verbal fluency, reading comprehension, dream recall, concentration, and focus. Another brain exercise that people can try is chess, which also improves working memory and increases concentration. Playing chess also enhances problem-solving skills and cognitive function for both sides of the brain. Constant education — People who are constantly learning […]

Study: Curcumin found effective at alleviating symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis

( Natural News ) Here’s good news for people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis: you may take curcumin supplements to manage the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. A study published in the Journal of Medicinal Food revealed that curcumin, the main compound in turmeric , is a safe and effective natural treatment for rheumatoid arthritis . Researchers from India discovered that curcumin acts as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent for managing rheumatoid arthritis without causing any side effect. Most medications available for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis come with side effects. Because rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune chronic inflammatory disorder, and curcumin has been used to treat inflammatory conditions in Ayurvedic medicine, the researchers looked at curcumin’s ability to improve the clinical symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. For the study, the researchers recruited 36 people with rheumatoid arthritis and divided them into three groups. They gave 12 patients in each group a placebo, 250, or 500 milligrams (mg) of curcumin twice a day for 90 days. Then, they assessed the responses of the patients through various methods. The results showed that rheumatoid arthritis patients who received curcumin at both low and high doses reported significant improvements in their symptoms compared to baseline and placebo. Moreover, both doses of curcumin were also well-tolerated and did not cause side effects. These findings suggest that curcumin worked as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent for the management of rheumatoid arthritis. 100% organic essential oil sets now available for your home and personal care, including Rosemary, Oregano, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Clary Sage and more, all 100% organic and laboratory tested for safety. Blueberries contain a specific substance that can prolong your life

Blueberries contain a specific substance that can prolong your life

( Natural News ) The fabled Fountain of Youth might not exist, but a compound in blueberries can have a surprisingly significant anti-aging effect, making them the perfect fruit to consume for longevity. You might have already heard about the anthocyanins in blueberries that give them their blue color and their impressive antioxidant benefits, but the compound responsible for their extraordinary ant-aging effects is known as pterostilbene – and blueberries are the only place you can get it. Pterostilbene is so beneficial because it activates three different pathways that play a role in aging . First of all, it increases the activity of the adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase, or AMPK, pathway. As you age, your AMPK activation slows down, and this contributes to accelerated aging and weight gain. That’s because AMPK regulates your body’s production of energy. Increasing AMPK pathway activity brings down fat and blood sugar levels in the blood while reducing body fat stores and chronic inflammation. It has also been shown to improve memory and stop the beta-amyloid plaque and tau tangles behind Alzheimer’s disease form forming. Therefore, it’s estimated to cause a 20 percent lifespan increase. The second way that pterostilbene can extend your life is by limiting the expression of a signaling pathway known as mTOR, which regulates cell growth, proliferation and survival. When things go wrong with this pathway, it can lead to chronic degenerative conditions and cancer. Scientists say that inhibiting this pathway by 25 percent can result in a 20 percent lifespan increase, and animal studies back this up. Goji Berries | boost your energy, boost your well-being

Goji Berries | boost your energy, boost your well-being

I love Goji Berries*! One of my favourite additions to trail mix, and considered both a fruit and an herb, goji berries grow in some of the most extreme and harsh climates. Goji Berries have become very popular, known as a “superfood”, due to its highly nutritive and antioxidant properties. 5 reasons to add Goji Berries to your mix 1. Goji Berries can protect your eyes. Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world, and half of those that have, it don’t even know it. The increase in intra-ocular pressure is the major cause of blindness because some of the cells necessary for vision slowly degenerate and die. Studies have shown that Goji Berries help the retinal ganglion cells (needed for vision) in the retina cells to survive longer, despite an increase in intra-ocular pressure, and prevents vascular damage as well. 1 2 3 2. Goji Berries support brain health. With Alzheimer’s Disease becoming prevalent, there is widespread interest in finding ways to protect the brain from degeneration. Studies have shown that something as simple as taking a Goji Berry extract can protect the brain against toxins and age-related neurodegeneration, while enhancing cognitive and memory function. 4 5 3. Goji Berries protect your liver. This is so important. As most compounds that get into your body have to be filtered by the liver, some of them can cause a huge burden and damage this vital organ. A few studies have demonstrated that Goji Berries actually protect the liver from being damaged by toxic substances. Decreased liver enzymes (AST, ALP, and ALT – markers of liver damage when elevated) and increased liver tissue antioxidant activities were observed. 6 7 4. Goji Berries can boost your energy levels and feelings of general well-being. Do you want to experience […]

An evidence-based guide to brain foods that improve memory and focus

An evidence-based guide to brain foods that improve memory and focus

( Natural News ) Many people would do anything to become smarter, but it’s actually a lot simpler to achieve this than you might think. By choosing the right foods , you can easily improve your brain health and achieve better memory and focus. Food can either be damaging or beneficial to the brain, and with so many options available, choosing the right foods can be a bit overwhelming. Fortunately, there have been countless studies that have identified foods rich in nutrients that are good for the brain. These are collectively called “brain foods,” which include fish, eggs, and certain fruits and vegetables. Fish is well-known for being rich in omega-3s, which area very versatile nutrient when it comes to supporting brain function. Omega-3 fatty acids are important for maintaining the quality of brain cells since they are one of the components in cell membranes and nerve cells. Omega-3s can also reduce inflammation associated with diseases like depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dementia, and Alzheimer’s. More than 70 percent of the world’s population do not get sufficient amounts of this nutrient, which is worrisome since a deficiency in a specific omega-3 called docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) has been linked to premature brain aging, cognitive decline, brain shrinkage, and many other neurological conditions. Fish is also a good source of proteins that are used to produce serotonin and dopamine. These two neurotransmitters work to improve mood and appetite . Furthermore, dopamine and serotonin also have a role in regulating movement and digestion, respectively. Specialists from Harvard Medical School recommend a weekly consumption of 12 ounces of fish like herring, salmon, mackerel, or sardines to help support the brain. POLITICS – the biggest planned distraction from health and well-being

POLITICS – the biggest planned distraction from health and well-being

( Natural News ) There’s a reason “kill your television” has been a popular saying or “meme” for such a long time. From the Kavanaugh assault scheme to the hard-to-believe (for many reasons) pipe bomb mailer, our eyes and ears are bombarded with bad news on top of worse news, and the world keeps spinning. What’s the main underlying plot of the shock-awe-blame step-by-step fake news networks? They aim mainly to distract the masses from eating clean and avoiding chemical medicine, as all of us intelligent, educated, well-informed folks do on a daily basis. They aim mainly to keep us bickering about their lies and their propaganda, while we forget to take care of ourselves, get stressed out, eat processed junk-science food stuff and take allopathic medicines to stave off the pain and depression, the angst and anxiety, the confusion and the doubt. Read every label, filter every toxin, and always seek natural remedies If you haven’t noticed yet, the Socialist-Communist-Democrats are scrambling for their political lives, falling apart at the seams with each and every new plot that gets foiled, upended and dismantled by alternative media and every Trump “truther” that knows why Trump won in the first place. It was word of mouth and Trump calling out the fake news that buried “ Hitlery Clinton .” It was her own scandals, bad health, and mishandling of classified information that did her in. So while the destitute and lazy American masses who want free stuff while surrendering the Constitution for it all vote for the unhinged Demoncratic Left, the other 50+ million voters who actually have functioning bodies and brains will vote for the Republic from now on, knowing the flip side is pure terror and a new “New World Order” called tyranny. 100% organic essential oil sets […]

Ask Hackaday: What are Your Less Extreme Brain Hacks?

Ask Hackaday: What are Your Less Extreme Brain Hacks?

Kahn — perhaps Star Trek’s best-hated villain — said: “Improve a mechanical device and you may double productivity, but improve man and you gain a thousandfold.” In fact, a lot of hacking effort goes into doing just that. Your phone has become an extension of your memory, for example. We use glasses, cameras, and hearing aids to shore up failing senses or even give us better senses than normal. But hacking your body — or someone else’s — has always been controversial. While putting an RFID chip in your finger is one thing, would you consider having a part of your brain removed? That sounds crazy, but apparently, there is a growing interest in having your amygdala removed . To be clear: we think this is a terrible idea. The science is shaky, at best, and we certainly wouldn’t want to be among the first to try something so radical. But why is anyone even talking about it? The amygdala is part of your brain that causes at least some of your fear and anxiety. Get rid of your amygdala, get rid of anxiety? What’s even stranger is this the procedure — an amygdalectomy — has been going on since the 1960s! Injections of oil and wax destroy the tissue and this treatment is used for some forms of epilepsy and to manage certain aggressive behavior problems in mentally ill patients. In modern times, the procedure is not very common although it appears that it does still occur in some places. But the technology to do it does exist. There have also been documented cases where people lose their amygdala from natural causes that gives us some clues of what life would be like without one. However, it is hard to say if these people lost fear. Most of […]

Increase brain plasticity by playing an instrument. Research suggests that regularly playing a musical instrument changes the shape and power of the brain, and may improve cognitive skills. It has been shown to increase IQ by seven points in both children and adults. Learning to play an instrument increases the plasticity of the brain. Musicians’ brains are structurally and functionally different from those of non-musicians. For instance, the parts of the brain that control motor skills, hearing, storing audio information and memory become larger and more active when a person learns how to play an instrument. Playing an instrument has also been shown to increase alertness and emotional perception. 2. Stay sharp by reading books. Studies show that reading books , no matter the type, increases your language comprehension and vocabulary, and boosts brain activity. Swedish massage shown to effectively relieve pain for people with fibromyalgia

Swedish massage shown to effectively relieve pain for people with fibromyalgia

( Natural News ) There’s something to be said about indulging yourself with a massage to recharge after a long day of working hard. However, a recent study released by researchers from Brazil suggests that the “feel good” effects a person gets after a massage is actually rooted in science. In their study, released in the journal Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice , the authors indicate that a massage — in particular, a Swedish massage — can improve quality of life, reduce stress, and alleviate pain in patients suffering from fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a condition wherein a person experiences musculoskeletal pain all over his body , usually accompanied by fatigue, sleep, mood, and memory issues. The exact cause of fibromyalgia is unclear; however, some cases occur after a person experiences physical trauma, surgery, infection, or severe psychological stress. Experts believe that it aggravates pain by affecting how the brain processes pain, and most sufferers are also likely to have tension headaches, temporomandibular joint disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and even depression with fibromyalgia. Currently, 10 million adults in the U.S. have fibromyalgia , with most of them being women between 50 to 80 years. There have been studies on how massage therapies can help patients with fibromyalgia. In a review in PLoS One , a team from Liaocheng People’s Hospital in China found evidence supporting the immediate benefits of massage therapy on patients with the condition. The therapy, in particular, improved pain, anxiety, and depression in patients with fibromyalgia, according to a systematic review of scientific literature on the subject. In this study, the team looked at the efficacy of a Swedish massage therapy — a European technique that uses gentle strokes to reduce muscle pain and stress — in improving three significant biomarkers in patients with fibromyalgia, namely: […]
