This Austin Man Takes Up to 150 Vitamins a Day

While working in finance in New York City, Ari Rastegar had a raucous lifestyle filled with late nights, steak dinners, and heavy drinking. Consequently, his health and marriage suffered. Motivated to clean up his life after the birth of his first child in 2012, he enlisted the help of a doctor, who tested his blood and gave him a bespoke regimen of up to 150 vitamins and supplements a day. Now 37, the biohacker (a person who uses science and technology to make their body function more efficiently) has a diet mostly free of gluten, sugar, and dairy, and regularly climbs into hyperbaric chambers and infrared light beds. Though he spends $1,500 a month on vitamins, Rastegar says they pay for themselves by boosting his productivity. Here’s a breakdown of his daily pill regimen: Morning/Daytime
